Installing the Commodore 64 (GameBase 64) package for HyperSpin:

/ Download the only useful file for functioning: “GBC_V16_01.zip” from “GameBase64 Games” directory of “GameBase64 v16” package , I do not provide links,  you have to find it on the net.

/ uncompress  from “GameBase64 Games” , “GBC_V16_01.zip”file.

/ Launch the virtual disk image file “GBC_V16_01.iso”

/ In your workstation you must have the virtual disk image mounted on a virtual drive, open this drive then copy the directories “Emulators” and “Games” to the destination of your choice.

/ Open a window “explorer” then go to the directory “.. \ Games \” in the window at the top right corner , there is “search”
type “* .zip” (without the quotation marks). When all the “* .zip” files are displayed (26097): copy them all and move them to the Commodore 64 games directory of your choice.

/ In the copied “Emulators” folder, Extract the “WinVICE-2.4-x64” archive (for windows x64) and copy the extracted “WinVICE-2.4-x64” folder to the location of your emulators for HyperSpin. (The other emulators are not necessary you can delete them)

/ In the folder “WinVICE-2.4-x64” run the file “x64.exe”, in the “Settings” tab click on “Save current settings” then close the application (This will generate the necessary ini file for Rocket Launcher module)

/ Add a new system to HyperSpin and RocketLauncher with the name: “Commodore 64”

/ For Media files of Commodore 64 for HyperSpin do as follows: Download the media pack from the “Download” -> “Commodore 64” menu (4 parts of 700 MB) Extract the archive then place the “Commodore 64” directory in the hyperspin media directory “..\HYPERSPIN\Media\”

/ For the XML files contained in “Commodore 64 (databases) .7z” do as follows: Download the XML database in the “Download” -> “Commodore 64” menu, then extract the archive and place the directory “Commodore 64 ” in the hyperspin databases directory “..\HYPERSPIN \Databases\” and RocketLauncher’s databases directory “..\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncherUI\Databases\”

/ For the RocketLauncher module, set the following: Download the new module and its files from the Download menu. Extract the archive and replace the files in the “..\RocketLauncher\Modules\WinVICE” directory with the new one.

/ For RocketLauncherUI.exe set as: Select your system “Commodore 64”, on “Settings” in “7z”: enabled = true, attach system name = false, in “extract path” select the extraction directory of your choice or, if you have already defined it in the GLOBAL system, leave “use_global” if you do not want to keep the uncompressed files choose “Delete Temporary = True”. Then always on “Settings” in “settings”: “Skip Checks = rom extension”. In “Emulators”, in “rom Paths” add the folder containing all * .zip games. (moved in step 4) then in “current emulator list …” add: Name = WinVICE, path = Here select the executable “x64.exe” (that of step 6), rom extensions = 7z | zip, Module = WinVICE (the version is still 2.4 but slightly modified to be compatible), then save. Finally, in “Default Emulator” select “WinVICE (Global)”

/ Take a break , it’s over! You can finally play more than 26000 Commodore 64 games on your HyperSpin configuration 🙂

Can you please indicate where to find the Gamebase? I can’t find them on the internet.
